The North District Digital Publishing Fair will be held at Herrera Elementary School on Thursday, January 24th. The student showcase will be from 5:00-5:30. The awards ceremony will be at 5:30.
Herrera will hold a local fair on Tuesday, January 22nd to choose the three students who will hold showcase their products at the district fair.

- Desktop Publishing - Click for Rubric Software programs include Publisher, Word, Printshop. Products include newsletter, brochures, flyers.
- Multimedia (fiction and non-fiction - Click for Rubric Software programs include Powerpoint, Photostory and eBook software. Products include presentations, podcasts and ebooks.
- Video (Group category only) - Click for Rubric Software programs include Windows MovieMaker and Apple’s iMovie
- Web Design - Click for Rubric Software programs include FrontPage, nVu and Dreamweaver. Products include student created web sites.
- Guidelines
- * Projects must be created during current school year. Can be revisions of History or Science Fair entries. Also, any student writings can be narrated with pictures voice, and music with PhotoStory. * Must submit the Intent to Enter Form by the deadline which is Friday, January, 18, 2007.* All Digital entries must have the following documentation at the end of the created digital project:1. About The Author Page should include: (a.) Student First Name only, (b.) Teacher Full Name,
(c.) Student Grade Level, and (d.) Narrative About the writer.
2. Instructional Intent Page - What is the author’s purpose, what are they going to teach us?
3. Reflection Page should include student’s reflections on the process of creating their digital work, as
well as software and hardware used.
4. Citation Page - All sources must be cited. No copyright music, unless you receive written
permission. All entries MUST have a Citation Page. - Resources
